1- American and a french on books
In a conversation with an american friend about the differences between the french and the americans, we talked about how the french would spend about $ 100 to buy a book because it was made of a leather cover and special paper. He did not understand that and said that he would much rather read everything electronically and make his I pad or kindle have a nice red leather cover. classic !
2- Why do we need a routine - is it superstition ?
Conversation in NYC with an Indian diplobrat about if following a routine is a maybe a superstition. We should eat when we feel hungry, take a bath when we feel like it, and do things when we would like to do them..hmm..interesting. i dont follow a routine on most days when i m by myself.
3- British vs. American movies
We saw a movie called Broken - british movie- less sun and darker and a depressing streak but i still wanted to finish the movie anyway.
4- Steve Prefontaine
He endorsed Nike and died young and beat the shit out of everyone
5- Fat Cat
Loved this place in west village in NYC. Basement, jazz band, ping pong, fooseball, awesome atmosphere
6- Amour
A nominee for the oscar- hmm..french movie. Its hard to imagine that an indian or american would make a movie on this.
